For Capetonians a daily dose of sun, sea and fresh air is part of the rhythm of life. Come the end of the working day, they’re out on the beaches, bursting the bubbly, tucking into deli fare bought on the way to their favourite strip of sun-bleached sand, and soaking up the last heat of the day.
