Nile Crocodile

A large, lizard-shaped reptile, the Nile crocodile is the most common of its kind in Africa. Gregarious animals, crocodiles live together in rivers, lakes, estuaries and marshes, The scary retiles, although poikilothermic (or cold-blooded) animals, are able to reduce their body temperature to some extent by propping open their jaws when basking in the sun – an action which helps them cool off.
