Gray Wolf
In solitary splendour, a wolf surveys the snow-covered wilderness around him. Resilient and tough, gray wolves have roamed the earth since the Pleistocene period, and until the early 20th century, were the most widely distributed mammals on the planet. Over time the pack has evolved an efficient social system, working together to take care of the young and ensuring harmony through a complex series of dominance and submission behaviours – forms of communication designed to ensure that each member learns its place in the hierarchy.
